Who We Are

Wild Gift is a nonprofit that hosts wilderness-based leadership programs for purpose-driven entrepreneurs.

Our flagship program is a free, six-month Fellowship that combines an 18-day wilderness expedition with leadership development, mentorship, and a lifelong community of changemakers.

Through this experience, participants strengthen their leadership, clarify their organizational priorities, and develop actionable plans to grow their impact.

Why Wilderness?

Where are you when you have your best ideas? Is it sitting in front of a computer? Or is it when you step away from the noise and distractions of everyday life, somewhere you can think freely, creatively, and be inspired?

That’s part of the reason we take our leaders into wild nature. Beyond the creativity and clarity, the wilderness creates opportunities for challenge, growth, and leadership in ways that everyday life rarely can. Over 18 days, Fellows confront challenges, push past perceived limitations, discover strengths they didn't know they had, and gain clarity on questions they've been wrestling with for months.

Living and traveling together creates daily opportunities to make difficult decisions, navigate uncertainty, solve problems as a team, communicate effectively, and step into leadership. Rather than simply talking about leadership, Fellows practice becoming the leaders they need to be.

The challenges of the wilderness mirror the realities of entrepreneurship. Fellows return home better equipped to make difficult decisions, lead through uncertainty, build resilient teams, and move their organizations forward with greater clarity and confidence.

How We Develop Leaders & Organizations

Running an organization often leaves little time to step back, think strategically, and tackle the challenges that matter most. Wild Gift creates that opportunity while pushing Fellows to grow beyond their perceived limits.

Fellows return with greater confidence, clearer organizational priorities, stronger problem-solving skills, and actionable plans to move their organizations forward. We prioritize changemakers who might not otherwise have access to these opportunities.

LIFELONG COMMUNITY

LEADERSHIP & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

18 DAYS IN THE WILDERNESS

  • "Over the past three weeks, I have grown in ways I could not have imagined—challenging myself, learning from others, and finding new strength in my leadership. This experience has been nothing short of transformative, and I know I will look back on it as a foundational moment in my journey as a leader."

Kayden Kelley, The Outside Social Club

    Class of 2025

Through the trek and programming, I gained clarity on my purpose, confidence in my voice, and a deeper understanding of how to lead with authenticity."

David Diaz, With the Flow Media

    Class of 2025

    Jay Simpson

    Rachel Willis

    Cassidy Cichowicz

    Wild Gift Executive Director

  • "I learned a lot being surrounded by other female entrepreneurs... we were all a working unit in making everything happen."

    2022 Wild Strides Alum

  • "The trek offered the unique opportunity for me to step back from the day-to-day operations of my venture and to reposition the venture's activities relative to our go-to-market strategy. I was able to reconsider the high-level strategy of our venture in a way that can support the reprioritization of our activities to expand customer acquisition, scaled manufacturing, and potential for impact… Activities such as the Wise Council also helped me gain insights from the other fellows and trek leaders in an easy and organic manner. "
