Lauren’s Wild Gift Project - Lighten the Load - provided analysis and recommendations for greening existing affordable housing in the Boston, MA metropolitan area. The long range goal of Lighten the Load is to improve the environmental performance and reduce the operating costs of affordable housing in Massachusetts by galvanizing affordable housing managers to make their housing projects as resource efficient as possible using green building retrofitting techniques. New Ecology, an organization that provides sustainable development and green affordable housing education, adopted the Lighten the Load program and has made Lauren its Vice President. Lauren also serves on the Wild Gift Board.
